Mission Statement “ Our mission is to be a successful company that produces the highest quality systems built homes available in the Northeast while providing stable and safe working conditions for our employees. In pursuit of this goal, we will exceed our customers expectations of service, durability, finish and value, while utilizing materials and construction techniques that promote energy efficiency and are respectful of the environment.”
Eco Building Systems, LLC is an affiliate of Eco Built Communities LLC, a Boston based residential development firm serving New England and beyond. As one of the regions largest residential developers, the philosophy of Eco Built Communities is to deliver a quality product at an affordable price. Value creation for our homebuyers is the cornerstone of Eco Built Communities. As a full service real estate company, Eco Built Communities is there from the initial planning of a community to the finishing touches on a residence. Our buyers are with us every step of the way as we design and build new neighborhoods that will endure for generations. The acquisition of Oxford Homes in 2007 continues the tradition of providing unique design and trusted brands at affordable prices for all homebuyers. The manufacturing facility began operations on a 16.73 acre site in Oxford, Maine on April 24, 1977. Since then over 8,000 single family residences have been built. The manufacturing building is a 44,000 square foot modern facility that has the capability of producing state certified modular single and multi family residences, and various types of light commercial projects. A 2,200 square foot office area is connected to the manufacturing facility, which services all general and administrative functions, sales, accounting, purchasing, engineering, design, quality control, compliance, costing, transportation, installation, and customer service. A garage, warehouses, a component shop and a steel fabrication building add another 19,000 square feet, bringing the total operation to over 65,000 square feet. Since 1977, the “Dream Team” of skilled Maine builders has been constructing the finest systems built homes available in the Northeast. The production of manufactured housing was established in the Oxford Hills area during the early 1970’s. This has generated a large and highly trained labor pool that is focused on manufactured housing exclusively. Eco-Building Systems has a large number of 1st, 2nd, and even 3rd generation manufactured housing builders. The experienced work force at Eco-Building Systems builds everything to meet or exceed all applicable building codes and housing construction standards. An independent third party testing agency, environmentally controlled building conditions, and modern technology assures consistency and quality. The high value, low maintenance, quality product built at Eco-Building Systems is retailed by independent residential builder/distributors. The Eco-Building Systems manufacturing process affords other construction advantages as well. Housing produced at Eco-Building Systems utilizes inside out construction methods for quality and efficiency, has flexibility through computer assisted drafting and design (CADD) technology, and is stronger than a comparable structure built on site. With homes built in a manufacturing facility, the construction time is reduced by site and utility preparation being done concurrently with the building of the house as well as the home being nearly 90% complete on the first day of installation. Eco-Building Systems uses only the highest quality construction materials and housing components, which are purchased primarily in Maine and New England. This practice not only enhances the quality of the product, but also minimizes transportation costs, and adds even more value to the finished product. Over 75% of the raw materials and OEM products used by Eco-Building Systems actually comes from Maine and New England. In addition to the regional components, Eco-Building Systems utilizes top quality, nationally recognized name brand products, such as: Congoleum, Frigidaire, Delta, Formica, Shaw, Cutler Hammer, Masonite, Schlage, Corian, Silverline, Pella, Andersen, Crane, etc. Housing built by Eco-Building Systems combines the latest insulating technology and construction techniques with high quality insulating and roofing products. These products are designed to give maximum energy efficiency, lower heating costs, resist moisture, provide protection from the elements, and insure greater year round comfort. All homes built at Eco-Building Systems are either installed by Eco-Building Systems own installation personnel or trained and certified independent contractors to ensure proper assembling. Therefore, all Eco-Building Systems homes are installed pursuant to the independent 3rd party stamped and approved manufacturer’s installation manual and engineered plans. All residential product built by Eco-Building Systems is covered by the Buyer Protection Plan, which consists of a comprehensive one year- ten day workmanship warranty and a ten year structural warranty by Bonded Builders Warranty Group. In addition to the warranty procedures that must be followed by independent residential builder/distributors, Eco-Building Systems maintains its own “Summit of Satisfaction” (SOS) customer service department. Eco-Building Systems is noted for providing customer service that is second to none in the systems built housing industry. Eco-Building Systems is dedicated to continuous improvement and the advancement of the systems built housing industry.
